a5c7b9f00b Day 4: 18 months after Season 3. Jack has been fired by Tony Almeida's replacement, Erin Driscoll, have most of the agents featured in Season 3, except Chloe O'Brian. Jack now works for the Secretary of Defense, James Heller, and is dating his daughter, Audrey Raines. Jack has sworn to put his past behind him, buta new threat emerges and Jack finds himself on the verge of returning to the life he tried to forget. Day 2: It's been more than a year after Jack Bauer experienced the longest and most painful day of his life. But things are about to get much worse. A nuclear bomb has been planted in Los Angeles. President David Palmer has no choice but to call Jack back to CTU for another day of hardships. Mason, the new head, is, of course, not happy about this. Now, his daughter Kim is running from her employer, who is threatening to kill her. Palmer now must deal with his political staff, most of which are plotting against his actions on how to deal with the crisis. And Jack must face the toughest challenge of his life… finding the bomb with aid from the woman who killed his wife, Nina Myers. The clock is ticking… Unless you live under a rock, you've probably heard of the hit show 24. You've seen the previews, read the 5-star reviews, and heard the conversations about it at the water-cooler. If you haven't started watching it yet, you might wonder if you should start watching. Well, let's put it this way.

If you like shows with action, you will like 24.

If you like shows with complex characters and interactions, you will like 24.

If you like shows with drama, mystery, and suspense, you will like 24.

If you like shows with humor, well you might "not" like 24.

If you like shows where you can watch an episode twice and view it in an entirely different way, you will like 24.

If you like shows where each and every scene has a meaning… Get the picture? Quite simply, if you have ever liked a TV show at all, you will be hooked.

In 24, each season takes place within one 24 hour period. In season 1 Jack Bauer is the head of an elite team of CIA agents who uncover an assassination plot targeting Presidential nominee David Palmer. Meanwhile, Jack's strained marriage to his wife, Teri, is pushed to the brink by the sudden disappearance of their troubled teenage daughter. What will the next 24 hours hold? I'll not spoil it for you.

anyway, in the now, 24 has entered its 5 season which takes 18 Months have passed since Jack Bauer stole away across the train tracks after faking his own death (you'll need to watch season 4 to understand why!). He's now living a quiet life in Bakersfield California, with a new love interest and her teenage son. But when a terrorist sniper's bullet kills one of his dearest friends (i'll not tell you who!), Jack Bauer cocks his gun and heads back to Los Angeles, and another day of workAmerica's most dangerous counter-terrorist agent.

This show can best be describedthe most innovative, ground-breaking television show of the past 50 years. The reason this show is so ground breaking is the fact that it has used split screen cameras, and a real time format to create the element of a quality made show.

The characters are fantastic! In short, watch. You will be hooked, unless you're one of those nitpicky people who have a hernia if every single episode isn't exactly correct.

Otherwise, I must ask the question… Why aren't you watching 24? 24 rules all! 10/10 It's hard to believe that the TV audience of this show didn't turn on it about half-way through season 1. It's sad to think that most people liked this show … maybe it's another sign that the masses aren't intelligent enough to avoid environmental collapse.

My neighbor lent me the first season and the first hours were decent entertainment, but each episode after that went downhill quickly. I couldn't believe just how stupid the actions of the characters, especially the "good guys" could be. Why didn't anyone, like say Kiefer Sutherland say "wait a second, something has gone terribly wrong". It'sthough they fired the original writers and replaced them with some out-of-work soap opera writers. (with apologies to soap-opera writers) This show went from action to becoming a pathetic comedy.

I'm a heavy user of IMDb and this is the first comment I've ever written. I felt compelled, especially seeing it's high rating, to save others from watching an extremely disappointing show.
